The room was way bigger than I thought and having my own private Onsen was just dreamy. breakfast was a delicious start with the fish being a standout. I also loved unwinding in the open-air bath and the lush gardens really boosted the experience. Just a heads up that the breakfast choices might be a bit tricky for some tastes, so be prepared for a culinary adventure! 😄

The open-air bath experience was incredibly tranquil.
Getting to the hotel was frustratingly inconvenient, as the location is quite isolated from the main attractions, making transportation difficult. The lack of dining options for those unfamiliar with Japanese cuisine felt limiting, especially when many dishes were unappealing and difficult to consume repeatedly. The shuttle service was also lacking in availability, which meant making arrangements to explore became a hassle.

the onsen was nice, but the bathwater? a tad cooler than expected. Also, the pillow choice was beyond bizarre, rice pillows? not comfortable! it's shocking I didn't get a room upgrade as a distinguished guest, woudl ve been the least they could do. Almost wrote a good review, but couldn't let it slide here.

Stunning stay in nature
Such an amazing place! The view from our room was breathtaking, and soaking in the open-air bath was a highlight for me. It felt super private and relaxing. The food at the restaurant was a feast—loved the sukiyaki dinner! Just wish the shuttle ran more often to make exploring easier.

The open-air private onsen experience was unforgettable, providing a serene escape that felt intimately private. Enjoying the diverse local dishes, especially the sukiyaki for dinner, was a culinary highlight that surpassed expectations. However, it's worth noting the shuttle service has limited hours, making transportation a bit tricky at times, and the main areas could feel a bit cramped during peak hours despite the overall atmosphere being peaceful.

stunning views and easy access to nearby attractions
the food was amazing and the staff very attentive, and the hotel itself has a calming charm with beautiful wooden elements and views of sakura trees, making it a perfect base for walks to nearby Hakone Gora Park, just about 2.5 km away, and the Hakone Museum of Art, below 2.5 km from here.

great stay,, but shuttle timings could improve
The service truly stood out as remarkable, with staff going the extra mile by providing transportation to nearby attractions. My room's size was a delightful change from Tokyo's cramped accommodations, and the soothing scent of the tatami mats added to the calming atmosphere. The open-air bath, coupled with the option to cool off in a separate tub, offered an exceptional relaxation experience. The local glass museum visit was impressive and really worth the trip.
